EQP Proprietary Supervising System - EQPSS

The Eagle Quantum Premier® Supervising System (EQPSS) is a rigorously tested, FM-approved, and proven system that can supervise multiple flame and gas detection systems.

If you need to supervise multiple flame and gas detection systems both remotely and locally while meeting NFPA requirements, the EQPSS is a fully engineered system that meets regulatory requirements and provides single-source alarm logging and display.

Product Description   The EQP Supervising System (EQPSS) comprises a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that provides owners with a graphical interface to supervise their multiple facilities’ EQP systems.

System composition   The EQP Supervising System (EQPSS) can consist of up to 12 EQP controllers at multiple facilities reporting to as many as three EQPSS PCs that monitor the same 12 EQP controllers.

To meet requirements, alarms must be able to be printed to two printers, or be printed at one printer and logged electronically at an HMI as a backup.

Interconnection between the multiple facilities and the supervising station at the remote location is via a telecommunication system. The hardware for the telecommunication system is not included in that approval and does not need to be.

The EQPSS includes the EQP system and the connection from the EQP system to the telecommunications system. The EQPSS at the remote monitoring location includes all the hardware that handles the data up to the telecommunication system.

Connections   At the remote facility, the EQP system plugs into the telecom kit. At the other end (the supervisory station), the EQP system plugs in and picks up the data. At the supervising station side, the EQPSS includes everything from the telecommunication system to the printer. Det-Tronics has approval for EQP controller-to-controller networking via SLC485. This allows the controllers to be networked with either class A or B communications. The communications can be over either copper or fiber optic (both multi mode and single mode).

Features

Benefits

Single system supplier

Functional: The solution saves time and money because one system has the answers. One location (rather than several safety systems or panels) can show you where potential safety issues lie.

Alarm display

Flexible: From a single station, you can view safety alarm data across several facilities.

Regulatory compliance

Reliable: You can use the system with confidence because it has been rigorously tested by a third party (FM) for functionality and performance.

Functional: Because the system has FM approval, you do not need to design and build a piece-meal system that meets requirements – the work is already done by experts with over 30 years experience.

Alarm logging

Reliable: Because a single system electronically logs and historizes safety data, you do not need to harvest data from multiple sources.
